Kupwara, April 1(JKNS):In a commendable initiative aimed at promoting education and uplifting underprivileged sections of society, the Future Seeds Foundation (Trust), in collaboration with the Indian Army (Villgam Battalion), distributed books and school bags among 200 orphaned and economically disadvantaged students in Villgam village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included the Chief Education Officer Kupwara, BDO Villgam Dr. Rashiq Rasool, and Tehsildar Villgam.

The programme, organized under the banner of Future Seeds Foundation, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and local residents. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner felicitated meritorious students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

Addressing the gathering, DC Shrikant Suse emphasized the importance of education as a powerful tool for empowerment and social transformation. He also highlighted the significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, urging youth and community members to actively contribute towards eradicating drug abuse and building a healthier and more progressive society.

The initiative was widely appreciated by the local community, who lauded the efforts of the Future Seeds Foundation and the Indian Army in bringing hope, encouragement, and educational support to deserving students in the region.

At the conclusion of the event, Er. Raja Saqib Rahi, Chairman of Future Seeds Foundation, stated that more such programmes will be conducted in the future, especially in far-flung and underserved villages of Kupwara district, to ensure wider outreach and impact.(JKNS)
