Srinagar, Apr 4 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Saturday witnessed uproar after a sharp verbal clash broke out between Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo and PDP legislator Waheed Para during the ongoing proceedings.
As per news agency JKNS, the situation escalated when the minister blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the current political and administrative situation in the Union Territory.
“Absence of power and statehood is because of PDP,” Itoo said, triggering strong objections and protests from opposition members.
She further held the party responsible for the aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370 and the governance-related challenges that followed.
Taking a swipe at the opposition’s approach, the minister remarked that her government believes in “action, not drama,” which further intensified the confrontation in the House. (JKNS)
