Shopian Police Attach Drug Money-Funded House in Major Crackdown

Shopian, Apr 5 (JKNS): In a major crackdown on narcotics-related activities, Shopian Police on Sunday attached a residential property allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking in Zainapora area of the district.

As part of its ongoing drive against narcotics related activities, Shopian Police have attached a single-storey residential house valued at ₹16,20,444/- under Khasra No. 1070/360, belonging to Khurshid Ahmad Itoo a resident of Takiya Reban Zainapora.

The property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics. Accordingly, the property was attached in connection with case FIR No. 117/2025 of Police Station Zainapora.

The attachment process was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar ensuring full compliance with all legal procedures and protocols.

Shopian Police reiterates its firm commitment to combating narcotics-related offences and urges the public to come forward with any information regarding drug trafficking or related activities. (JKNS)
