Srinagar, Apr 5 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Sunday said that 64 posts have been created for the Bone & Joint Hospital to ensure the newly inaugurated additional block is made fully functional.
In a post on X, Minister Itoo as per news agency JKNS said, that under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the 120-bedded additional block at the hospital was fast-tracked for completion and inauguration, with directions issued the same day to make the facility operational.
She added that while services were initially managed through internal arrangements, the creation of posts has now been approved with the concurrence of the Finance Department and the Council of Ministers.
The minister said the move reflects the government’s commitment to not only building infrastructure but also ensuring that healthcare facilities are fully functional and accessible to the public. (JKNS)
