Srinagar, Apr 8 (JKNS): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been blocked following a heavy landslide at Shalgarhi in Banihal, officials said on Wednesday.
A traffic official told news agency JKNS that, the road remains completely closed, and restoration work is underway.
Authorities have advised commuters not to travel on NH-44 until the road is fully cleared and made safe for movement.
The Traffic Police have also urged the public not to pay heed to rumours and to rely only on official updates available on their Twitter handle @Traffic_hqrs and Facebook page.
