Srinagar, Apr 8 (JKNS): Grand Mufti Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi on Wednesday shared his views on the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran, stating that use of force and coercive tactics cannot ensure lasting peace and stability.
In his remarks, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam as per news agency JKNS, said that excessive use of power, threats and aggressive actions weaken global credibility and damage mutual trust, rather than establishing peace.
He said that Iran, despite sustained international pressure, has shown patience, wisdom and principled resilience, reflecting that the dignity and sovereignty of a nation cannot be suppressed through force.
The Grand Mufti further said that dominance imposed through force is temporary, while truth, principles and steadfastness ultimately prevail, asserting that Iran has remained firm on its stand. (JKNS)
