Srinagar, Apr 10 (JKNS): The Lal Chowk Constituency today organized a series of impactful programmes under the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan as part of the celebrations marking the 47th Foundation Day of the party, covering areas including Solina, Panthachowk, and Batmaloo.

As part of the initiative, extensive plantation drives were carried out at Rambagh Park, Lachmanpora Park, Government School Panthachowk, and Police Station Panthachowk. Simultaneously, cleanliness drives were also conducted across these locations, reinforcing the message of environmental protection and public hygiene.

Er. Aijaz Hussain Rather participated as the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in preserving the environment and maintaining cleanliness in public spaces. He also stated that such initiatives reflect the party’s commitment to public service and grassroots engagement, especially on the occasion of its 47th Foundation Day.

During the plantation drives, several respected personalities were also present, including Wajid Ahmad, Principal of Government School Panthachowk; SDPO Nowgam Zohaib; SHO Panthachowk Irshad Ahmad; Masjid President Lachmanpora Farooq Ahmad; and Umer Sahib. Their presence further encouraged community participation and strengthened the spirit of the initiative.

The entire team of Lal Chowk Constituency remained present and actively participated in all activities, reflecting unity, dedication, and commitment towards public welfare and environmental sustainability.

The programme concluded with a pledge by all participants to continue such initiatives and work collectively towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier society. (JKNS)
