Budgam, Apr 12 (JKNS): An important meeting of hotel and restaurant stakeholders was held today in Doodhpathri, Budgam, during which a new body of the Doodhpathri Hotel and Restaurant Federation was unanimously constituted.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome to all members. Participants emphasized the need for a strong and unified platform to promote the hospitality sector in the region, enhance coordination among stakeholders, and ensure sustainable development through collective efforts.
During the meeting, the following office bearers were unanimously elected:President: Ab Rashid Mir
Vice President: Mehraj Ud Din (Shaliganga) General Secretary: Umar Malik (Treasurer: Dr. Tabish Rafiq Secretary (Publicity): Irshad Ahmad Bhat and Hilal Ahmad Malik
The newly formed federation aims to promote tourism in Doodhpathri, safeguard the interests of hotel and restaurant owners, maintain high standards of service and hygiene, ensure fair pricing, and work collectively to address common issues.
Detailed discussions were held on several key matters, including improvement of tourist facilities, maintaining quality standards in services and cleanliness, strengthening coordination among members, and resolving practical and infrastructural challenges faced by the sector.
The federation also resolved to hold regular meetings, actively promote Doodhpathri as a major tourist destination, and maintain close coordination with the concerned authorities for the overall development of the area.
