Defence Secretary Calls for Tech-Driven Military Transformation at Army Commanders’ Conference*

Srinagar, Apr 15 (JKNS): Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on Wednesday highlighted the need for a technologically advanced and future-ready military force while addressing senior leadership at the Army Commanders’ Conference, officials said.

Defence spokesperson in a statement issued as per news agency JKNS said that at the Army Commanders’ Conference (#ACC), the Defence Secretary underscored the evolving, tech-driven nature of warfare and stressed the importance of multi-domain integration, force restructuring and rapid modernisation.

 

He emphasised indigenisation, defence reforms and enhanced participation of the private sector to build a future-ready force aligned with #Vision2047.

 

The Defence Secretary also launched key digital initiatives including SIMS, MoU Portal, AI Examiner and eRTI Web Application to boost efficiency, transparency and data-driven decision-making in the Indian Army.

 

The initiatives mark a significant step towards digital transformation and improved operational effectiveness, the spokesperson said. (JKNS)
