Bandipora Apr 18 (JKNS): Diabetic patients in Sumbal Sonawari are facing multiple hardships due to the unavailability of disposable insulin syringes at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Sumbal.

President of the Traders Federation Sumbal, Nazir Ahmad Reshi, expressed deep concern over the issue and urged the authorities to ensure the immediate availability of insulin syringes at the health centre.

He stated that the lack of this essential medical item in government hospitals has left diabetic patients struggling to manage their condition.

Reshi further highlighted that patients are unable to find insulin syringes even at private or pharmacy shops, as shopkeepers are required to maintain strict records, which has limited their availability in the market as well.

He also raised concern over the absence of a permanent General Physician at CHC Sumbal following the transfer of the previous doctor, stating that no suitable replacement has been appointed so far, further aggravating the problems faced by patients.

Appealing to the government, particularly Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo, Reshi urged immediate intervention to resolve these issues so that patients in Sumbal Sonawari do not continue to suffer due to lack of basic healthcare facilities. (JKNS)
