Attends cremation ceremony of deceased expresses condolence with the family
Srinagar, Jan 01: Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul Friday condemned the killing of Jeweler Satpal Nischal and stated that his fault was he stayed in Kashmir during turbulent times and opted to serve people.
Koul while participating in the cremation ceremony of Nischal at Karannagar and expressed condolences with the family and said it is unfortunate that despite 1990’s situation, Satpal Nischal stayed here and opted to serve people.
Nischal was fired upon at his shop at Sarai Bala market in Srinagar. The 65-year-old was the owner of Nischal jewelers and was running the business for more than 40 years.
“By killing such persons, Kashmirat is ashamed. How many will they and people do not fear by such acts? Nothing will be achieved by such tactics,” he said.
Koul urged police to nab the culprits and brought them under the frame of law. The CCTV footage would be available in the market and they can get some clue from that also, he said.
Koul said if the culprits will be punished, then in the future such acts will not occur. Police should play a vital role in nabbing the culprits. The inquiry should be done on a fasttrack basis, he said
