KUPWARA, MARCH 28: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today handed over key of a Tractor to a farmer belonging to border subdivision, Karnah under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Sub Mission Agriculture Mechanization (SMAM), here.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Nazir Ahmad Wani, District Agriculture Officer and other concerned were present on the occasion.
It was informed that the Agriculture department had provided two Tractors to farmers belonging to Jabdi Forward and Gabra villages of Karnah sub division of Kupwara district.
It was also informed that the cost of Tactor is Rs. 8.10 lakh and the Department provides subsidy of Rs.2 lakh to a beneficiary.
