Nine Shopian boys ‘detained’ by Baramulla Police

Srinagar, Mar 29: Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday late-evening detained nine boys, hailing from South Kashmir’s Shopian.

Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Baramulla, Rayees Ahmad told News Agency that nine boys from Zainapora area of Shopian district were detained by police after noticing them in suspicious condition.

He said that all the nine have been detained from Sheeri area of Baramulla, adding that after proper verification and antecedents check all the detained boys will be handled as per law.

Pertinently, the deadly militant attack had left a Municipal Councilor and a police cop dead earlier in the day in Sopore area of the district.
