Srinagar 3rd April. In the ongoing 28th Annual Football Championship two Semifinal matches of final Edition were played today the 3rd April 2021 at Synthetic Turf TRC. The Ist Semi-final match was played between J&K Bank XI & Heroes FC Jammu. In the 3rd minute of the first half J&K Bank scored an easy goal through Akif. Hero’s FC players consolidated their position and played magnificent passes. Their short passes,dribbling and man to man marking was appreciated by the spectators.  J&K Bank players tried hard to increase the margin but failed.  The half time score was 1:0 in favour of J&K Bank.. in the 70th minute the game J&K Bank XI made a brilliant move which was foiled by the goalkeeper of Hero’s FC, thus saving a sure shot goal. The match was evenly balanced and J&K Bank Players increased the margin in  89th minuteof the game . The quality of the game and the skill displayed by young turks of Hero’s FC Jammu took the spectators by surprise and they  applauded every move made by young players of Hero’s FC. The match ended with J&K Bank XI defeating Hero’s FC Jammu by  two goals..parvinder Kalsi of Hero’s FC jammu was awarded a Cash Prize for best performance as a custodian.
The 2nd Semifinal match was played between Real Kashmir FC (R) and J &K Police XI. In the 10th minute of the first half Real Kashmir FC missed an open net chance as the goalkeeper of JKPolice XI made a tremendous save. The game picked up momentum and both the teams played an offensive Football to find net. Half time ended goalless. In 2nd half J&K Police XI played with all their might but could not stop Real Kashmir winger Hyder who made a beautiful cross and Basit made no mistake to convert it into a goal in 67th minute. J& K POLICE XI went all out in the dying movement of the game trying to find an equalizer but failed. Thus RKFC defeated J&K Police XI by a solitary goal.
Mr. Nazir Ahmad, HOR Referees, Mr.Roshan Khayal,  EX-DGM J&K Bank   Mr. Irshad Ahmad, owner of Kashmir Avengers FC  were the guests  on the occasion and interacted with the players.
The final match of the Championship will be played between J&K Bank XI & Real Kashmir FC (R)   on 8th of April 2021 (thursday) at 5:pm at Synthetic Turf Ground Srinagar.
