Budgam Police continues its COVID-19 awareness campaign, interacts with Nambardars & Chowkidars Fines more than 80 persons for not wearing masks

April 06: Continuing its efforts to awareness about the guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic spread, police in Budgam interacts with Nambardars and Chowkidars at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief and Police Station Budgam. Besides, Budgam Police also fined more than 80 persons who were violating Covid-19 guidelines.

SDPO Chrar-i-Sharief along with SHO PS Chrar-i-Sharief chaired a meeting at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief while as the meeting at Police Station Budgam was chaired by SHO PS Budgam.

In these meetings, the participants were educated about the Covid-19 SOPs and further educate common masses in their respective villages to adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by the government to curb COVID-19 pandemic spread.  They were also advised to educate people about the importance of Covid vaccination and all the people who are eligible be advised to get themselves vaccinated as early as possible.

Meanwhile, Budgam Police along with civil authorities continued its massive and sustainable drive against the violators of COVID-19 guidelines & during the drive, more than 80 persons were fined for not wearing face masks and maintaining social distance.

Budgam Police has reiterated the appeal to the general public to follow Covid-19 SOPs and get vaccinated as per the drafted plan and eligibility. They have also appealed to the general public to follow proper guidelines, maintain social distancing, wear face masks and take all necessary precautions to contain pandemic spread & those found violating the COVID-19 guidelines in the district will be strictly dealt strictly under law.
