Pakistan Sponsored Narco-Terror module busted by Kupwara Police Huge quantity of Heroin recovered

April 08: On reliable information, Kupwara Police have busted a Pakistan sponsored Narco-terror module and arrested a terrorist associate identified as Mukhtar Husain Shah son of Syed Akbar Shah resident of Panjtaran Karnah.

          Incriminating material narcotic substance Heroine 9Kgs (worth ₹60 Cr. Market value) were recovered from his possession.

          The other absconded involved persons have been identified and efforts are being taken to arrest them.

          The module was in close connection with Pakistan based terror handlers and were involved in drug trade & assisting financially to active terrorists operating in the valley. The recoveries also exposed the inter connection between drug dealers and terrorists.

            The module was working for terrorists to strengthen their activities in the valley and were misguiding and motivating the local youth of the Valley to join terrorist ranks.

            A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Karnah and investigation has been taken up. A special investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to ascertain the details of accused ties with terrorist outfits, radicals, smugglers and other anti national elements.

           Kupwara Police once again appeals the people of the district to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers/Smugglers so that the curative steps can be taken against them.
