Implementation of Covid control measures reviewed at Gbl

GANDERBAL, APRIL 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting of officers to review the implementation of Covid control efforts for mitigating the spread of infection in the district.

During the meeting, the CMO briefed the DC about the daily vaccination coverage, daily Covid testing capacities, status of active cases, sampling, home isolation status and enforcement of Covid SOPs.

The DC directed all Tehsildars to put in place an effective mechanism to ensure Covid protocols are followed religiously in all main markets of the district and religious places during prayers and initiate stern action against the violators.

The meeting also reviewed the vaccination of employees over the age of 45 years and all departmental heads were directed to ensure all such employees are vaccinated at an earliest.

While reviewing the implementation of containment measures, the DC directed the concerned to ensure all directions recently issued by the UT administration including restriction of public gathering shall be implemented in letter and spirit.

The DC directed for generating mass awareness regarding do’s and don’ts by way of making announcements in mosques after every prayer to sensitise the people regarding the importance of wearing masks, maintaining social distance at religious places and other crowded places besides, motivating them for vaccination and testing.

Meanwhile, the DC urged upon the people of the district to adhere to the Covid SOPs in letter and spirit.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmed Baba, ACR, CPO, SDM Kangan, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildars, BMOs, BDOs and other concerned.
