KULGAM, APRIL 22: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a meeting of District Advisory Committee for implementation of the Pre-Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (PC&PNDT) and to review the initiatives for implementation of the Act against the prenatal testing for sex determination.
Threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of the Act including issuance of registration certificates for various ultrasound clinics, ensuring continual monitoring of these establishments, enhancing accountability to prevent violations etc.
The DDC asked the concerned to ensure regular monitoring of these establishments for ensuring strict compliance with the provisions of the aforesaid Act.
During the meeting renewal of registration of three clinics were approved and one fresh registration was also approved.
ADC, CMO, Medical Superintendent Kulgam, Senior Gynecologist District Hospital Kulgam, Pediatrician, DIO and other members participated in the meeting.
