SHOPIAN, APRIL 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today made an extensive tour of the Shopian Town to take first hand appraisal of adherence of Covid-19 SOPs following recent surge in cases.
The DC on the occasion stressed for endorsement of Compulsory face mask usage, alternate opening of shops and SOPs related to transport as put in place by the Government to avoid further spread of the coronavirus.
He appreciated the efforts of traders, transporters and especially the general public in giving the district administration a helping hand in mitigating the present challenges arising out of Covid-19 virus by way of following the SOPs in vogue which is the need of the hour.
The DC during the visit was accompanied by police and a team of officers who have been assigned the duty of enforcement at ground.
