BUDGAM, APRIL 24:Continuing its efforts against the menace of drugs, Budgam Police arrested one more notorious drug peddler and recovered 205 Grams of substance suspected to be Charas was recovered from his possession.
During routine Naka at Kawoosa Khalisa, Police Party of PP Narbal intercepted one pedestrian roaming suspiciously near check point. When police party approached him he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended by police party. During his personal search 205 Grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
The arrested person has been identified as Sameer Ahmed Sofi son of Abdul Rashid Sofi resident of Zainakot HMT Srinagar.
A case FIR number 58/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stand registered at Police station Magam and investigation taken up.
