April 26: Police in Kugam have arrested a notorious Burglar involved in many cases and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees from his possession
Earlier Police Station Behibagh received many complaints regarding burglary and accordingly Cases vide FIR Nos. 07/2021, 13/2021 & 14/2021 under relevant sections of law were registered and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, officers zeroed in on one suspected person identified as Suhail Ahmad Ganie resident of Daderkoot. During questioning, he confessed his involvement in thefts/burglaries occurred within the Jurisdiction of Police Station Behibagh.
Upon his disclosure, officers were able to recover one Tata mobile Vehicle, Epson Led Projector, One Power Genset, Electronic wood cutter, Sound system amplifier, three Gas Cylinders and different household items from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody. Further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests & recoveries are expected.
