UT administration has effectively dealt with the challenges till now: BJP Spokesperson

“The present challenge of Corona Pandemic has posed a test to our patience and our perseverance to deal with the hostile situation. Here in J&K, we are dealing with it in an effective way now and with the cooperation of one and all, we can soon minimize the rate of spread of the virus and the count of mortalities too. The government decision of nominating senior civil services offices as the OSDs for assisting in Corona Virus mitigation efforts is a welcome step,” said BJP Spokesperson and Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs today. She said that the un-precedential situation has also created panic in J&K as the huge increase in cases of infected persons and the un-imaginable count of deaths is a big worry for all of us. “Thank God, here in J&K we are still having the affordable medical facilities available for the infected people and our medical system is delivering satisfactorily during the crisis. But keeping in view the spike in cases, we need to update the facilities accordingly so that we are not caught in the crisis,” said BJP Spokesperson.

Dr Darakhshan, while hailing the decision of the LG administration to give special incentives to medicos for fighting the battle with the virus at the frontline, saluted the medical staff for their dedicated and tireless services to the society putting their own lives at risk. Dr Andrabi also hailed the government decision of extending the lockdown in major cities and towns. She also praised the police personnel for their dedicated efforts during the crises and demanded similar incentives for the force also.

“The electronic and print media is doing a remarkable job in covering the biggest human crises of our times amid great risks to their lives. Many of them got infected while doing their ground reporting. I wish them quick recovery. They are also the front line warriors and I salute them for their service,” said Dr Andrabi. She also praised the volunteers of J&K who are helping patients with medical supplies, food and other facilities for patients and attendants.

“It is encouraging that now vaccination on a larger scale has started which needs to be enhanced keeping in view the demand. Many centers are still without vaccines and it is hoped that the shortage of vaccines is overcome soon in J&K,” said the BJP leader. She appealed to all those using social media to upload authentic information only and desist from creating panic by sharing false stories about the corona patients and medication thereof.

“I request the LG administration to create an official public enquiry desk or social media platform where people can get authenticated information regarding the Pandemic related issues so that misinformation is not allowed to create panic in public,” suggested Dr Andrabi. She expressed her satisfaction that the majority of our population has now understood the threat of the virus and the Covid protocols are adhered to by most of the people in J&K.

Dr Andrabi thanked the governments of other States & UTs for extending due help to the affected people of J&K living there when they were approached by her on the request of the people who were desperate to be helped with medical facilities.
