Dr Andrabi demands all important departmental wards in SKIMS to be made operational for public

Dr Jitendra Singh assures all requisite help to the people of J&K from Central government for defeating the Virus

A virtual meeting of the BJP Kashmir unit was held under the chair of Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh today regarding Covid related scenario in Kashmir. All office bearers of BJP in Kashmir participated in the meeting. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, BJP Spokesperson while praising the initiatives of the Central government for coping up with the surge in virus affected cases also thanked Dr Jitendra Singh for his personal efforts to reach out to the people of J&K during these tough times. She also thanked UT administration for nicely managing the medical services in Kashmir during the Pandemic, hailed the LG’s orders for establishing Covid management units at Panchayat and block levels in Kashmir which will surely streamline the fight against the virus. “SKIMS is nicely managing the Covid patients and there is no dearth of oxygen in the Hospital, but while dealing with the Pandemic we have to take care of other critical patients also. It is imperative upon us to create extra spaces for Covid-management but we cannot afford to ignore other critical patients in the hospital,” said Dr Andrabi. She said that our critical care patients cannot afford to go outside the valley in these conditions and we have to restore all emergency and critical care medical facilities at this premiere hospital without much delay,” said BJP Spokesperson. She apprised the minister of the public feedback regarding the same. Dr Jitender Singh assured the meeting that the valid concerns raised need immediate consideration and redressal too. Dr Andrabi later said that we cannot leave other critically ill patients to die while dealing with the Pandemic. The present Covid scenario in J&K was discussed at length by the BJP leaders and representatives with the Minister. Dr Jitendra Singh assured the representatives that Centre will extend all help to the J&K Administration to cope up with the Corona Crisis.

Later Dr Andrabi praised the Army for establishing hi-tech Covid care facility in Srinagar & Jammu. “In all times of crisis, our Army has always come to our rescue and this facility will benefit the people in a great way,” said Dr Darakhshan.
