ARTO Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana (KAS) alongwith MVD Inspector ER Zahoor Ahmed Tantary Laid a Special Naka and took strict action against those who were violating traffic norms by overcharging of fare, not following SOPs in commercial vehicles, without proper documents, without seatbelts, Without Fitness, Without insurance, Without Permit, in Surankote Sub-divison of Poonch District.
A team of MVD Poonch led by ARTO Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana, today continuing it’s drive against traffic rules violators in Surankote Sub-divison laid special nakas to check traffic violations at , Mirza morh , Jaranwali Gali and intercepted a number of vehicles being driven in violation of norms.
Several vehicles were also Challaned who were over charging fare from passengers and those who were found carrying passengers more than allowed capacity.
Further Violators were also penalized who were without without Fitness, insurance, seat belt tripple riding, without crash helmets , and without licence.
In this connection people of the area hailed the efforts of Motor Vehicle Department, Poonch and appealed them to continue it’s drive against violators in Surankote on daily basis. Moreover, ARTO Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana, appealed the general public that driving by minors is a biggest cause of concern, and parents should not allow their children for the same. He said, that minor drivers put life of others as well as of themselves at risk, and if anybody found strict action will be taken against the parents.
ARTO Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana (KAS), further asked the drivers of commercial vehicles plying on different routes in Poonch district, to strictly charge the prescribed fare and if anybody, found overcharging fare, strict action will be taken under rule. Further, he appealed general public, not to pay extra fare. And there is no increase in fare, and if any driver charges extra fare bring this to the notice of authorities.
Special nakas should be established to check violations on daily basis.
ARTO, Poonch Anzar Ahmed Rana(KAS), further appealed, general public to adhere to all SOPs, while travelling.
