Jammu and Kashmir Alig Society & Islamic Foundations for Peace & Communal Harmony Organized multilingual online poetic symposium where legendry poets of Pir Pinchal recited their poetry in Urdu & other languages. Because of covid-19 situations the progamme was conducted using googlemeet & live streaming technology, it was simultaneously broadcasted on youtube & facebook.
Prof. M.H Shah founder & president Islamic foundations for Peace & Communal Harmony while presenting welcome address introduced poets to the viewer. Sh. Anwar Khan a famous poet & Literary personality of Pir Pinchal region conducted the proceeding of Mushaira with professional competence. Famous poet Sh. Khurshad Bismal from Rajouri presided over the programme & Sh. Nissar Ahmed Khaja (IPS) Rtd. IGP was Chief Guest of the Mushaira.
The poets which participated in Mushaira included Sh. Khurshid Bismal, Prof.(Dr.) Shakeel Raina, Prof. Iqbal Raina, Sh Khursheed Kirmani, Sh Nazir Bhati,, Sh. Sajad Sheikh, Sh. Haroon Rathore, Prof. Fateh Mohammad Abbasi, Sh. Anwar Khan, Sh. Nizarat Farid, Sh. Mehmood Tahir are prominent.
Among the prominent participants Prof. Ghulam Nabi from Kashmir University, Sh. Faisal Nahim from Bandipura, writer and critic Sh. Nazir Qurashi, Haji Abdul Majid,Dr. Maroof Khan, Dr. Tariq Hussain Sheikh along with large members of scholars & academician & general public attended this programme online.
In his presidential address Sh. Khursheed Bismal appreciated the foundation from its selfless services for humanity & for its selfless services for humanity and its role in philanthropolitical activities. He said that Urdu language has deep roots in the Pir Pinchal region & such programme encourage literary people to come forward & serve the local literature. He congratulated Sh. Prof. M.H Shah for organizing such programme & appealed for many more such programmes in near future.
Sh. Nissar Ahmed Khawaja Chief Guest of the Mushaira appreciated the efforts of Prof. M.H Shah & all office bearer for the conduct of this high-profile Mushaira & assumed for all support to the foundations for its role in the service of humanity.
