Block Diwas held at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 25: To take firsthand appraisal of public grievances and issues, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar Ahmad today held public darbar as part of the weekly Block Diwas programme at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.

The program witnessed immense participation of locals and PRIs who apprised the ADDC about grievances and developmental needs in their respective areas.

Locals put forth their issues relating to problems particularly development of existing roads, desilting of irrigation khuls, encroachment of dewatering channels, augmentation of drinking water supply and electricity, better health care facilities and other issues of public importance.

The Officers/Officials of all line departments present on the occasion registered the demands and grievances of the locals with an aim to ensure redressal of grievances in minimum possible time.

The ADDC gave patient hearing to the grievances raised and assured quality disposal of genuine issues in a time bound manner. He also gave on spot directions for redressal of many issues of urgent nature as per the competence of concerned departments.

While interacting with the public, the ADDC said that the main aim and objective of block diwas is to take a firsthand appraisal of all issues on spot and to ensure timely and quality disposal of the same. He sought cooperation among all line departments and PRIs in this regard.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Bilal Mukhtar and Officers from other line departments were present on the occasion.
