Srinagar: A four-year-old boy was among three members of a family critically injured in a road accident near Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when the vehicle they were travelling in reportedly turned turtle at Guraze in Bandipora.

The injured have been identified as Mohammad Younis son of Mohammad Yousuf Rather; his wife Nusrat and their four-year-old son Mohammad Aman, all residents of Asham, Bandipora, they said.

All three were initially shifted to District Hospital Bandipora and later referred to SKIMS Soura in critical condition. The child was reported to be severely injured, they added.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
