Sopore, Oct 9 (JKNS): The Zonal level Northern India Science Drama Competition for Zone Dangerpora was held, at Baba Shukurdin Waqf Secondary School, Watlab, Sopore, showcasing exceptional talent and creativity from participating schools.
The event was organized under the aegis of ZEO Dangerpora, Mr. Abdul Salam Dar. Chief Guest Mir Shafqat Hussain, ZEPO Dangerpora, and Guest of Honour Mr. Tanveer Ahmad Dar, Academic Officer, DIET Sopore, along with the DIET team comprising Mr. Sajad Ahmad, Mr. Manzoor Qadir, and Basharat Sir, attended the programme. Also present were Mr. Mudasir Ahmad Dangroo, I/E ZEO Office Dangerpora, and the school’s Principal, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Reshi. The jury included Mr. Mohammad Iqbal War, Rifat Bashir, and Sumaya Bashir.
The competition, held under the theme “Science and Technology for the Benefit of Mankind,” aimed to foster scientific thinking and creativity among students. According to the jury, the performances were highly competitive, making it challenging to select a winner. Both ZEPO Sahab and Mr. Tanveer Ahmad Dar appreciated the efforts of all participants and addressed the students with inspiring words.
In their concluding remarks, the jury encouraged all teams to stay motivated, highlighting that every participant delivered their best and no one is a loser.
Ultimately, Model Public School Janwara emerged as the winner and will represent Zone Dangerpora at the upcoming district-level competition at DIET Sopore.
