Srinagar, Oct 10 (JKNS): After nearly two decades of delay, the long-pending New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) Dangerpora has finally received a push with MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar sanctioning ₹54 lakh for renovation, fencing, and electrical works.
As per details available with news agency JKNS, The building for the health facility was constructed back in 2007 but had remained unused due to non-availability of funds. Locals said their 19-year-old dream of proper health services in Dangerpora has now been fulfilled.
MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar approved the funds under his supervision to ensure the project is completed. The amount will be utilised for renovation, fencing, and necessary electrician works, paving the way for the centre’s operationalisation.
In addition to Dangerpora, the MLA also visited Mundji Zaingair and Takiya Khan Mohd Sopore, where Public Health Engineering (PHE) schemes were restored following his intervention.
Officials from Roads and Buildings (R&B), PHE, and Mechanical Department accompanied the MLA during the visits. Among those present were Junior Engineers Er Irfan Ahmad Lone, Er Faisal Ahmad, and Er Mohd Shafi.
Locals from Dangerpora and adjoining villages expressed gratitude to MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar for addressing their long-pending demands related to healthcare and water supply.
They hoped that with the allocation of funds and restoration of schemes, essential health and water services in Sopore will witness major improvements in the coming months. (JKNS)
