Srinagar, Nov 11 (JKNS): Polling picked up pace across Nagrota and Budgam Assembly constituencies on Tuesday morning, with both segments recording notable voter turnout figures by 11 a.m..
As per official details available with news agency JKNS, Nagrota Assembly Constituency (AC-77) logged an approximate turnout of 34.47% by late morning, indicating an active early response from the electorate.
Budgam Assembly Constituency (AC-27) registered 21.74% turnout during the same period, with authorities expecting voting numbers to rise as the day advances and temperatures improve.
Despite the chilly morning, voters continued to reach polling booths steadily, while security agencies ensured a smooth and peaceful voting process in both constituencies.
Seventeen candidates are in the fray, including NC’s Aga Syed Mehmood, PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir, BJP’s Aga Syed Mohsin and several independents. (JKNS)
