Srinagar, Nov 11 (JKNS): Updated polling figures on Tuesday evening showed a steady rise in voter participation across Nagrota and Budgam, with officials confirming that both constituencies maintained strong footfall throughout the day.
As per the official data accessed by news agency JKNS, Nagrota Assembly Constituency (AC-77) registered a turnout of 72.74% by 5 p.m., indicating a robust response from voters despite the cold weather conditions.
In Budgam Assembly Constituency (AC-27), the turnout stood at 48.53% around the same time, with authorities expecting the final figures to climb further as polling continued in several booths.
Polling staff said that voters arrived in a consistent flow across both constituencies, and security arrangements ensured a smooth and peaceful polling process throughout the day.
A total of 17 candidates are in the fray, including National Conference’s Aga Syed Mehmood, PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir, BJP’s Aga Syed Mohsin, among others. (JKNS
