Bandipora, Jan 1 (JKNS): In a special enforcement drive against illegal mining, the District Mineral Officer (DMO) Bandipora, Ghulam Nabi Pintoo, seized one tipper, one stone drilling machine, and two tractors in different areas of the district.
The drive was conducted in Saderkoot Bala and Baniyari, where the machinery was found involved in illegal mining activities. A similar special drive was also carried out in the Gulwari Naidkhai area of Bandipora district.
The DMO stated that such drives will continue across the district to curb illegal mining and ensure strict compliance with mining and environmental laws. He warned that stringent action will be taken against those found violating the rules. (JKNS)
