Srinagar, Feb 2 (JKNS): Reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and community outreach, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Monday concluded a 31-day Skill Development Training Programme aimed at enhancing employability among local youths of the Kashmir Valley.
As per news agency JKNS, Closing Ceremony of 31-days Job Role Domestic Data Entry Operator and Mobile Repairing courses for 50 Local youths of Kashmir Valley wef 01.01.2026 was organised on 02.02.2026 as part of public outreach initiative through Skill Development Training Programme.
The training was conducted in collaboration with Saving the Future NGO at International Institute Of Professional Studies, Srinagar.
The programme was focused on job-oriented skills in Domestic Data Entry Operator and Mobile Repairing, aimed at enhancing employability among local youth. A total of 50 youths from the Kashmir Valley have been enrolled in the training.
The closing ceremony was held at 10Bn SSB Srinagar. Commandant, 10 BN SSB, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion Sh Mustaq Geelani, Director, IIPS Srinagar, Dr Sheikh Saheel Ahmad, Assistance professor, Islamia College of Science & Commerce Srinagar and Ms. Mariya, Saving The Future (NGO), Dr. Touseef Ahmad (MD. IIPS) Mr. Reyaz Ahmad (Faculty hardware) and Ms. Iqra Amin (Counsouler IIPS).
While addressing the participants, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of skill development for youth empowerment and encouraged the trainees to make optimum use of the opportunity and certificates were distributed to all the participants. The dignitaries appreciated the collaborative efforts of 10Bn SSB and Saving the Future NGO in promoting self-reliance and employment-oriented skills among local youth.
The programme reflects the continued commitment of SSB towards community engagement, youth empowerment, and nation-building through skill development initiatives. (JKNS)
