Anantnag, Apr 14 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said the government is working towards a fresh phase of stability and development, asserting that maintaining peace remains its top priority.
Speaking to reporters in Bijbehara, as per news agency JKNS, the Chief Minister said efforts are underway to ensure a conducive and peaceful atmosphere across the Union Territory, enabling progress and normalcy.
He cautioned that certain elements are attempting to disrupt harmony and create instability, warning that such attempts will be dealt with firmly.
“Some people are trying to disturb the peaceful environment and create a situation of lawlessness. Such actions will not be tolerated,” he said.
Referring to the Ramban incident, the Chief Minister urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take strict action against those involved and ensure accountability.
He said decisive action would send a clear message that the government will not allow any breakdown of law and order in Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
