Srinagar, Apr 28 (JKNS): A man lost his life after a violent scuffle broke out between two groups at Khumani Chowk in Bemina area of Srinagar on Monday evening, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the incident originated from an altercation between two groups, which later escalated after their relatives also intervened, turning the situation violent.
During the clash, one person sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted to JVC Bemina, where doctors declared him brought dead. He has been identified as Syed Adil son of Syed Manzoor, resident of Khumani Chowk Bemina.
Police have registered a case in this regard and initiated further investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident, officials said. (JKNS)
