Srinagar, Apr 28 (JKNS): Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Tuesday expressed delight after receiving a GI-tagged Kashmir Willow Bat from the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team, winners of the recently held Ranji Trophy.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Minister said, “Received the GI-tagged Willow Bat as a warm gesture from the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team, champions of the recently held Ranji Trophy!”
He further added, “Truly delighted to receive this thoughtful gift, which reflects Jammu & Kashmir’s rich craftsmanship and the spirit of cricket.”
The gesture highlights both the sporting achievement of the J&K team and the region’s globally recognised willow bat industry. (JKNS)
