The projects include construction and upgradation of roads, along with allied links and bridges at Bila Pati, Thezwooder, Pather Mohla, Mir Baaz Mohla, and Arigam Shamsabad, with an estimated cost of Rs. 2.10 crore.

In addition, the MLA also laid the foundation stone for the development of the road from Malpora to Khawaja Gund Khag, which will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.07 crore.

Local residents expressed their gratitude to the MLA for addressing their long-pending demands and initiating much-needed infrastructure development in the area.

Senior officials from the R&B Division Budgam/Beerwah, including the Executive Engineer (Xen) and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), were present on the occasion.

Later, the MLA addressed party workers at the Community Hall in Khag, stating that he remains available round-the-clock for public service and is committed to resolving the grievances of the people.

He further assured that all developmental projects will be completed and emphasized the promotion of tourism in the region to generate employment opportunities and reduce unemployment.

Referring to the past, the MLA said that the area had been neglected for years, but now development works are being accelerated. He termed the initiation of these road projects after decades as a major milestone for the region. (JKNS)
