Man Injured After Being Hit by Train in Bijbehara Section; hospitalized

Srinagar, Apr 30 (JKNS): A person sustained injuries after being run over by a train in the Panjgam–Bijbehara section of south Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.

Reports reaching with news agency JKNS, the incident occurred near KM No. 27/7 when Train No. 04688 (Budgam to Katra) was passing through the area.

The injured person was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment, where from he was referred for advanced medical care, reports added.

Further details regarding the identity of the injured and circumstances leading to the incident are awaited.

Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated. (JKNS)
