Srinagar, Apr 30 (JKNS): In a major boost to healthcare services in Kashmir, the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday commissioned upgraded advanced medical infrastructure aimed at enhancing patient care and treatment standards.
As per news agency JKNS, the upgraded facilities were inaugurated by Director SKIMS and EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, who said the institute remains committed to integrating modern technology to improve clinical outcomes.
The infrastructure, developed at an estimated cost of ₹15 crore, spans multiple departments and is expected to significantly benefit patients requiring critical care and complex procedures.
Officials said the new additions include advanced equipment in critical care, nephrology, neurosurgery, and emergency services, along with cutting-edge systems such as 3D 4K visualization technology, upgraded operation theatres, and modern diagnostic tools to enhance precision and efficiency in treatment.
They added that the institute has also strengthened hospital-wide services with improved IT infrastructure and essential medical equipment, marking a key step towards modernizing healthcare delivery and meeting the growing needs of patients across the region. (JKNS)
