Anantnag, Apr 30 (JKNS): 18-year-old youth died while another sustained injuries after a vehicle lost control and overturned at Bumzoo KP Road in the Mattan area of Anantnag district on Thursday evening, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said that a Polo vehicle bearing registration number DL3CCN-8591, while on its way from Pahalgam towards Anantnag, went out of control and turned turtle near Bumzoo, resulting in serious injuries to two passengers onboard.
The injured were identified as Yawer Manzoor Lone 19-year-old son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone, and Umer Bashir Bhat 18-year-old, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Pazalpora Bijbehara.
Both were shifted to SDH Seer Hamdhan for treatment, where Umer Bashir Bhat succumbed to his injuries, while the condition of the other injured is stated to be stable.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
