Srinagar, Apr 30 (JKNS): At least two firefighters were injured and four residential houses were damaged after a fire incident broke out in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS, the fire erupted in a house near Usmania Colony in Bemina and rapidly spread to adjacent structures, engulfing four houses before being brought under control by the Fire and Emergency Services.
Officials said that two firemen, identified as Mohammad Arif and Tanvir Ahmed, sustained injuries while battling the blaze and were shifted for treatment.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, while authorities have taken cognizance of the incident. (JKNS)
