Srinagar, May 2 (JKNS): Continuing its firm commitment towards eradicating the drug menace under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police carried out a focused drive against illegal poppy cultivation in Kenihama, Tengan, Golpora and Mujgund areas of Srinagar.
As pwr news agency JKNS, During the operation, large patches of illicit poppy cultivation were identified and subsequently destroyed on the spot in accordance with legal procedures.
The drive was conducted in the presence of the Executive Magistrate BK Pora, along with police teams and local officials, ensuring transparency and adherence to due process.
Srinagar Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against drug-related activities and urges the general public to come forward with information regarding cultivation, trafficking, or abuse of narcotics. Community support remains vital in building a drug-free society. (JKNS)
