Srinagar, May 03 (JKNS): In a high-voltage finale of the CRPF Downtown Cricket Championship 2026, Sangam Super Kings emerged victorious after successfully chasing a challenging target of 184 runs against JSCC Anchar at Goripora Cricket Ground, Noorbagh, in Srinagar on Sunday, as part of a major community outreach and anti-drug initiative aimed at engaging youth through sports.
As per news agency JKNS, Finals of CRPF Downtown Cricket Championship 2026 held at Goripora Cricket Ground, Noorbagh, b/w Team Sangam Super Kings v/s JSCC, Anchar, Shaloura. In a jaw dropping finals target of 184 runs achieved by Sangam Super Kings hold the championship.
A total 8 teams from different parts of core downtown participated in this tournament in which 3 players below 23 yrs and 02 players below 19 years was kept in playing XI as mandatory to promote youth participation.
Tournament was played in a 20-20 format and more than thousand spectators of various age groups enjoyed the championship. With a motto to “Drug free Kashmir” 161 Bn committed to serve the society with humane touch.
These are once remained untouched by the security force is now showing shoulder to shoulder partnership in shaping a New Kashmir. 161 Bn CRPF under command of Sh Balihar Singh always available to provide platform to youth of downtown, Srinagar.
Sangam Super Kings completed the target of 184 runs In a nail biting final match Tengpora clinched the Championship.
Goripora secured 3rd place in this tournament. More than one thousand spectators enjoyed the tournament conducted by 161 Bn CRPF, Srinagar Sector under community outreach initiative.
Winners awarded with Rs 10000/- cash and Championship Trophy, Runners up team Rs 7500/- and runners up trophy and 3rd position team awarded with Rs 5000/- cash prize.
