Srinagar, May 4 (JKNS): Senior Bhartiya Janta Panty leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma on Monday reacted strongly to a social media post allegedly made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stating that such language is inappropriate for a constitutional authority and demands an apology.

Speaking to media persons, Sharma was responding to “What the Hell” remarks made by CM Omar, as per news agency JKNS, LoP Sharma said that, leaders must uphold democratic dignity while commenting on election outcomes.

He said the ongoing results of assembly elections in five states reflect the mandate of the people and should be respected by all.

He further said that the use of certain words attributed to the Chief Minister was “unacceptable” and does not suit the office he holds.

Sharma added that instead of such remarks, political leaders should congratulate the people for exercising their democratic rights.

The BJP leader also claimed that his party is gaining momentum and expressed confidence about its future performance in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the party remains focused on strengthening its base in the region. (JKNS)
