Srinagar, May 4 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Health and Medical Education Department, has ordered the transfer and posting of a senior health officer as part of an administrative reshuffle in the health sector.
As per Government Order No. 392-JK (HME) of 2026, dated 04.05.2026, issued from the Civil Secretariat Jammu/Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS, Dr. Poonam Sethi, I/C Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K, has been transferred and posted as I/C Director, Health Services, Jammu.
The order states that the decision has been taken in the interest of administration and patient care.
It further clarifies that the assignment is purely on a temporary basis and subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the competent court(s) of law. The order also mentions that the posting shall not confer any right upon the officer for preferential treatment at the time of regularization or promotion, which shall be made strictly in accordance with rules.
