Budgam, May 3 (JKNS): Dr. Sandeep Singh, Shiv Sena Prabhari for Jammu and Kashmir, visited Budgam district on Sunday and lauded the efforts of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for launching the 100-day intensive programme under the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan.
During his visit, Dr. Singh interacted with local residents and party workers, emphasizing the urgent need to tackle drug abuse, which continues to pose a serious threat to society, particularly the youth. He appreciated the administration’s proactive approach in initiating a focused campaign aimed at spreading awareness and curbing the menace of substance abuse across the Union Territory.
Dr. Singh said that the 100-day programme reflects strong commitment and determination on the part of the administration to address the growing issue of drug addiction. He added that such initiatives are crucial in safeguarding the future of young generations and ensuring a healthier society.
He further stressed that awareness campaigns, combined with strict enforcement, are essential to effectively eliminate drug abuse. He urged people, especially the youth, to actively participate in the movement and support efforts aimed at making Jammu and Kashmir drug-free.
