Srinagar, May 5 (JKNS): District Administration Shopian on Tuesday issued an advisory urging media outlets and the general public to refrain from sharing or circulating photographs of deceased individuals on social media and other platforms.
As per news agency JKNS, the administration said that such actions violate the dignity of the departed and cause deep distress to bereaved families.
Officials further stated that the circulation of such sensitive content may also impede official proceedings, stressing the need for responsible behaviour.
The administration has appealed to citizens to act with sensitivity and avoid forwarding such content, advising people to rely only on official channels for verified updates. (JKNS)
