Srinagar, May 9 (JKNS): The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K is set to organise “AAROHAN 2026,” a grand three-day youth festival under the banner of the National Youth Festival 2026 and Viksit J&K Young Leaders Dialogue from May 11 to 13 at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre.
As per news agency JKNS, The mega event, themed “Where Youth Power Meets Innovation,” aims to provide a vibrant platform for young minds to showcase their talent, leadership, creativity, innovation and cultural excellence. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to inaugurate the festival, while the closing ceremony will be attended by the J&K Sports Minister.
Officials said the festival seeks to channelise the energy of youth towards constructive and progressive activities by promoting innovation, discipline, unity, leadership and healthy competition. The term “AAROHAN,” meaning “ascending” or “rising,” symbolises the journey of youth towards empowerment, excellence and nation-building.
The official logo of AAROHAN 2026 reflects the cultural richness, natural beauty and youthful spirit of Jammu and Kashmir through artistic depictions of music, dance, heritage, mountains and the national tricolour. The tagline “Rise, Shine and Conquer” highlights the determination of youth to excel and lead.
The event is expected to witness participation from students of schools, colleges and universities, along with young innovators, youth clubs, cultural groups, artists, mentors, educators and community organisations from different parts of the country.
AAROHAN 2026 will feature a series of competitions and activities including dance and singing contests, hackathons, PPT presentation competitions, youth leadership dialogues, cultural and literary programmes, talent showcases and interactive sessions. Participants from outside Jammu and Kashmir will also be taken for Kashmir sightseeing as part of the festival experience.
Officials said special emphasis will be laid on innovation, communication skills, teamwork, leadership development, cultural preservation and constructive youth participation. The Directorate has made elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of the event, which is expected to emerge as a landmark youth festival celebrating talent, unity and the limitless potential of young generations.
