Residential House Catches Fire in Nowgam

Srinagar, May 10 (JKNS): A fire broke out in a residential house at Kaza Mohalla Phuroo in Nowgam area of Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the fire erupted in the house of Shabir Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat, a resident of Kaza Mohalla Phuroo, Nowgam.

Soon after the incident, teams from Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations to contain the blaze.

 

Officials said the fire is suspected to have been caused by leakage of LPG gas, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.

 

No reports of any casualty or injury were received till the filing of this report. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
