Jammu, May 16 (JKNS): Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking under the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, Jammu Police achieved another success after recovering heroin-like substance from a suspected drug peddler in Miran Sahib area of Jammu district.
As per news agency JKNS, During patrolling and vehicle checking duty, a police party of was conducting naka checking at Dak Bungalow Marallian Road. During checking, one motorcycle being driven by a an unknown person tried to escape from naka and he was apprehended by police party.
On enquiry, the said person disclosed his identity as Raj Kumar S/o Dev Raj R/o Simbal, Miran Sahib.
Thereafter, after completing all legal formalities as envisaged under law, the search of the accused was conducted. During search, heroin-like substance weighing approximately 11 grams was recovered from his conscious possession.
The recovered contraband was seized on the spot as per legal procedure and accordingly a case FIR under relevant sections of was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation taken up. (JKNS)
